You are about to embark upon a journey where you will travel through Boston in 1770.
You will be guided by Mrs. Horne in class and by different characters (some helpful, some not so helpful) in the game itself.
Each day your assignment will start with a task from Mrs. Horne in lesson and then you will go on to the website to follow through and play Mission US yourself.
At the end of the Mission you will have a deeper understanding of the causes of the Revolution and the way that people from all walks of life felt at the time.
Monday, March 31st
You have now completed your mission and made a number of decisions that affected your future. At the end of the mission, it was completely up to you whether you would stay and fight with the Patriots or perhaps go to live and work in London with Constance and her father. Either way, you have had the chance to deepen your understanding of the causes of the American Revolution and the way that people from all walks of life viewed the fight.
Today in class you will be having a conversation regarding what you have learned, but it will be a conversation that is conducted completely online.
Hover your mouse on the Essential Questions page and you will see four new pages attached. Your job in class today is to visit each of those pages, read through the Essential Question on that page (one that you already should have some writing and/or thoughts on) and comment on some aspect of that Essential Question. Each comment should address one part of the Essential Question on that page and be at least three sentences long.
See here for sentence starters you can use.
You can be the first to comment on the questions or you could also comment on what other students have written regarding the question. PLEASE NOTE: I will have final approval on any comments that are published and will only publish comments that address the topic, use appropriate language and are respectful to all students involved.
When the blog asks for your name, you should write either a username that can be easily identified as you (so I know that you commented) or you can write kappalastname so that it is evident who is commenting on what.
By the end of the lesson, you should have commented on each of the Essential Questions (there are four in total). You will receive a classwork grade for your comments.
