Today in class you will be doing a Newspaper Scavenger Hunt.
1. Mrs. Horne will hand out a sheet with a number of newspaper feature terms on it and a newspaper you can use for the hunt.
2. Working with a partner you will go through the newspaper and try to find an example of everything on the sheet.
3. The first team to finish will raise their hand as soon as they complete the work. If Mrs. Horne checks their work and everything is correct, they will get to pick from the prize bag.
4. Each team should work to finish this within the lesson time allotted. A completed Newspaper Scavenger hunt sheet is worth 10 out of 10 classwork points for both partners.

- For items that are short enough, you can write the whole item (ie: headline).
- For items that may be longer (like captions or editorials), instead of writing the whole thing, you can write the first sentence or a summary of what it is.
